• 1962: Harold Shapiro and Howard Speer opened the first discount floor covering store in Central New York, Tile Town, at 468 N. Salina Street in Syracuse.
• 1964: We moved to 630 N. Salina Street, where we served the Syracuse community for 33 years.
• 1976: Our flagship location opened at 3195 Erie Blvd E. in Dewitt, NY.
• 1980: We expanded our product offerings and rebranded as Tile & Carpet Town to reflect our growing selection.
• 1985: We joined the nationwide Carpet One Co-Op, which gave us access to over 1,000 partner stores worldwide, while keeping us family-owned and community-focused.

Today, we operate three convenient locations in Dewitt, Liverpool, and Auburn, offering the largest selection of flooring in Central New York.
